It was still one of the most difficult things to watch in the history of tv news. But the finger pointing it spawned needs to be revised.

1 Most endeavors in the course of human events follow a tawdry path of initial enthusiasm; frustration; a hunt for the guilty; prosecution of the innocent; and rewarding the underserving. Before all is said and done, I can see Dubyah hanging medals around the necks of the Louisiana political cabal, when what they truly deserve is an old fashioned necktie party. Homocide eh, doesn't that require intent?

2 "Homicide" is not a crime. It's "murder" that requires intent, which can be satisfied in different ways, such as crimimal negligence or reckless disregard for human life, as well as actual intent to kill.

3 I saw a history last night on Louisiana politics and it reminded my how very banana republic my poor home state is. One assasinated governor, one insane, three in prison and counting.

4 So, where will the MSM carry the story? Page 47, below the fold. Will Russert correct it in a big way, especially after he got hoaxed? No.
