1 I actually don't think he's an idiot, but some of the stances he takes on issues shows a contortion of reason by fringe ideological axioms and heuristics. Misguided might be a better term.

2 He's both a genuine conservative and a genuine knob. I'd like to thank him for putting me in the position of having to agree with Ted Kennedy. That is, if by "thank" I actually mean "bitchslap". Tomato, to-mah-to, that sort of thing.

3 What's the Statute of Limitations on his crime. Since the quote is 3 years old, it smacks of a PR campaign, perhaps by his opposition in Pa. or one of their supporters. Having been around a bit myself, I can tell you Boston has its own signature, just as San Fran or NYC. I didn't find what he said, long ago, so far off base.

4 Eh, you young punks, wait til you're forty and have some sense. Santorum is fabulous. A true conservative, articulate, presidential timber one day. They're just trying to get a few rounds in his ass while he's young.
