Nothing against Patrick Warburton. I was just watching a Seinfeld rerun tonight -- the face-painting episode -- and it finally dawned on me. The decline of Seinfeld's writing definitely coincided with the emergence of the Puddy character. By season seven it had stopped being a show about nothing and become a show about callousness, thus jumping the shark.

Hehe, they showed that same rerun (the Fusilli Jerry) here the other evening. I love Seinfeld reruns, I'll probably be watching them as long as they're on the air.

R u certifiable? Puddy's character was hilarious and gave Seinfeld a very needed breath of fresh air at that point. The face-painting episode is fucking classic.
I suggest buying season's 1 - 6 (and the rest when you can)....the show was always callous. "No hugging, no crying."

I'm with u blu. Seinfeld never jumped the shark, although the last episode was a bit lame.
Puddy? What is funnier than the episode where Elaine keeps paying off her bet to Jerry because she can't quit having sex with Puddy? She can say it. She just can't stop DOING it.

If you want to see Warburton outside of Seinfeld, I recommend "The Dish", probably the best Aussie film I've ever seen. Watch what he does to his character, but also watch what Sam Neill does to his.

I'm a firm believer that the term "jumped the shark," has...um...jumped the shark. So to speak. Also, if you must remember Patrick Warburton, please, remember him as Joe Swanson on Family Guy.
