Great Men Honored By A Great Man In A Hallowed Place

I cannot hear this speech without breaking up when he gets to the words "Why... why did you do it?"

This was one of a handful of truly great speeches of the post war era. It's closing lines are what Memorial Day is all about.

1 Very good stuff Annika. I remember seeing this live, or nearly so and enjoying it back then too. It's hard to believe that one day there will be no one from the 'Greatest Generation' left. I was flabbergasted both times Clinton won, not so much because of his record or philosophy but, because he beat WWII heroes both times. I simply found this amazing. Nice Memorial Day tributes!
