1 Bzzzzzzzzzzz. Who is Tom Wolfe?

Posted by: shelly at August 17, 2005 02:01 AM (6mUkl)

2 *bzzz* Who is Carl Hiaasen?

Posted by: Victor at August 17, 2005 02:05 AM (l+W8Z)

3 Drake, trembling with excitement, mashes the signaling device repeatedly while looking plaintively at the other contestants. Ding! Who is Tom Wolfe in the book Charlotte Simmons. Drake smuggly adds, "Though, Annika, he used the same language in Bonfire of the Vanities." Now Drake waits patiently for the admiration of everyone.

4 (popping turtle head gently against buzzer) Who is famed New Zealand author Gregory Pissfuckdiddle? Kevin

5 You guys must blog late at night, I got up at five AM central time, I knew the answer, and I'm late. Damm.

6 Kyle, I get up at 5AM Eastern every day (even weekends). You live in the wrong time zone. My answer was a guess. I've googled it and discovered I'm wrong.

7 DING Who is John Irving?

Posted by: jimbino at August 17, 2005 06:20 AM (Iqw4R)

8 Ugh, John Irving is SO overrated. "A Widow for One Year" was bloody awful.

9 Nice job Shelly. pick again.

Posted by: annika T. at August 17, 2005 07:37 AM (wSYlS)

10 Ya, nice job. Shouldn't you be out suing someone?

Posted by: Casca at August 17, 2005 07:45 AM (qBTBH)

11 LOL Casca.

Posted by: d-rod at August 17, 2005 09:00 AM (ke237)

12 Thanks, Annie, I'll take places that suck for 4. Note to Casca: I am a recovering lawyer who no longer sues people. Trial lawyers die young, so I decided years ago to stop trying to die. Besides, it is too late to die young. I just deal with the rascals, who fortunately are out for their annual August do-nothing month off, so I get one, too. Otherwise, I wouldn't have time for this insideous game, which, I am glad to say, is almost at it's end.

13 Truth is no defense.

Posted by: Casca at August 17, 2005 08:27 PM (qBTBH)

14 You must have been absent the day that defamation was discussed in your torts class; that's only in malicious defamation of a non-public figure. See: Sullivan v. NY Times

Posted by: shelly at August 17, 2005 08:40 PM (6mUkl)

15 Nope, that's what the "Family Law" judge told me right before, "sit down and shut the fuck up".

Posted by: Casca at August 17, 2005 08:44 PM (qBTBH)

16 ...so I just sat there, staring at the monitor in bovine stupefaction, drool tendril exploring the air, wondering what the FUCK the phrase "suck for 4" meant. Near as I can figure, it's just another cruel reminder that others are far, far more sexually active than I. Kevin
