Playoff Picks
The first game today is KC at Indy. The favorite is Indy, by 7 points. Interesting twists include the following:
Indy's run defense is ranked last.
KC's RB Larry Johnson is the league's second best rusher, and having a career year.
Dungy and Edwards are great friends, but Dungy will be looking to avenge Indy's 41-0 loss to Edwards the last time they met in the playoffs.
Manning needs to prove he can win in the playoffs.
I think Indy will win, but LJ and the Colts crappy defense make it too tempting not to take KC plus the 7 points. Go with KC+7 and laugh at the suckers later.
Result: Indianapolis kills the Chiefs, 23 to 8. I lose.

The best way to handicap these pros is to figure out which key player needs the bucks the most; then bet on him to blow some key plays and make the other team look better than they are...
Remember, the old adage "Never bet on anything that cvan be controlled by people who can talk..." is not just blowing smoke.

MY COLTS PULLED IT OFF!!!!! With
defense!! Woo-hoo!
And their reward... they get to face Baltimore.
Baltimore... number 1 defense, big brusing running back, big bruising o-line.
Christ, the NFL playoffs are brutal. And if - God, I hope it happens, but it's far from guaranteed -
if the Colts somehow pull a win off in Baltimore, they'd get to face San Diego. And LT. Hard-ass, bruising running back.
Jesus, that hurts... that just hurts... think it's time for me to start drinking during games again.
